A strong field of thirty-one Super Late Models were on hand for the $3,000-to-win event, and via his qualifying effort Michael earned the fifth starting spot for his heat race. He went on to finish fourth in his heat race, locking him into the fourteenth starting spot on the feature grid. CHILTON SCORES TOP TEN FINISH IN RED CLAY BASH AT PONDEROSA

MICHAEL CHILTON TACKLES BROWNSTOWN SPEEDWAY FOR JACKSON 100

1September 20, 2014 --- Michael Chilton Motorsports returned to the historic Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) over the weekend for the 35th edition of the annual Jackson 100. (Rick Schwallie Photo)

A talent-laden field of forty-seven Super Late Models registered for the event, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). On Friday night, a strong qualifying effort position Michael starting fourth in his heat race on Saturday.

Unfortunately, a mechanical failure in his heat resulted in a disappointing last place finish. Unable to make repairs to their entry before the b-main, it appeared that the team's night had come to an early end. However, a series' fast time provisional would earn Michael the 24th starting spot for the 100 lap, $20,000-to-win finale. Chilton advanced a few spots early before ultimately retiring on lap fourteen to a 25th place finish.

CHILTON VISITS BROWNSTOWN SPEEDWAY FOR JACKSON 100 TUNE-UP

1September 13, 2014 --- Michael Chilton traveled to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night for the finale tune-up before the 35th Annual Jackson 100.

Twenty-seven Super Late Models filled the pit area, and a second place finish in his heat race earned Michael the tenth starting spot on the feature grid. Chilton quickly worked his forward, and was running fifth when he was caught in a melee that brought his night to an early end. He was credited with a sixteenth place finish in the final rundown.

TERMINAL ISSUES FOR MICHAEL CHILTON IN BALTES CLASSIC AT ELDORA

1August 31, 2014 --- Michael Chilton Motorsports tackeled the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Sunday evening, competing in the 7th Annual Baltes Classic at the famed, 1/2 mile oval.

CHILTON BACK IN VICTORY LANE SATURDAY NIGHT AT RICHMOND RACEWAY!

1August 23, 2014 --- Michael Chilton was back in Victory Lane on Saturday night with a $2,930 triumph at Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Kentucky). The Super Late Model event, deemed the Inaugural Battle of Richmond, drew a modest twelve entries to the oval. Chilton timed in third fastest during qualifications, and went on to win his heat race to lock into the pole position for the main event. Michael took the lead at the drop of the green flag from fellow front-row starter Jason Barrett, and event looked back. Storming to the win over Barrett, Victor Lee, Jesse Lay, and Aaron Hatton. Earlier in the weekend, Michael Chilton Motorsports entered the $10,001-to-win, John Bradshaw Memorial at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky). Thirty-eight entries were on hand for the event, which was sanctioned by the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series. In preliminary action Chilton won his heat race to lock into the fourth starting spot on the feature grid. Michael battled at the front of the pack early, before suffering a flat right rear tire just shy of the halfway mark. He retired to a disappointing 20th place finish in the final rundown. CHILTON ENTERS NORTH/SOUTH 100 AT FLORENCE SPEEDWAY

1August 9, 2014 --- Michael Chilton and his Michael Chilton Motorsports team made the trek to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) over the weekend for the 32nd Annual North/South 100, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).

Despite a late race charge from Dustin Linville, Chilton held off the fellow home-state driver to win the b-main, earning him the seventeenth starting spot in the 100 lap, $50,000-to-win finale. Michael battled around mid-pack early in the race before retiring just before the halfway mark to a disappointing 24th place finish.

MICHAEL CHILTON'S WEEKEND CUT SHORT WITH A TERMINAL FAILURE

1August 1, 2014 --- Michael Chilton set out to enter a trio of events over the weekend, which began on Thursday night with a trip to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee). The Schaeffer's Southern Nationals Series sanctioned a $3,500-to-win program, which drew a field of thirty-seven entries to the oval. Michael qualified seventh in Group B of time trials, sending him to a b-main where he finished third to lock into the fourteenth starting spot on the feature grid. During the course of the 35 lap finale Chilton battle around mid-pack, ultimately advancing a single spot to finish thirteenth in the final rundown. 1Friday night found the team pitted at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) for the 14th Annual Hugh "Junebug" Rowland Memorial. Nineteen Super Late Models converged on the 3/8 mile oval for the $3,000-to-win program, and Michael used a heat race win to lock into the outside-front-row for the 35 lap finale alongside Skylar Marlar. Chilton assumed the point at the drop of the green flag, but would only lead two laps before engine woes would see him slow on the track in turn four to draw the event's first yellow flag. BAD LUCK STRIKES AGAIN FOR MICHAEL CHILTON AT BROWNSTOWN

1July 26, 2014 --- Michael Chilton Motorsports traveled to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night for the 2nd Annual Paul Crockett Memorial. The $2,500-to-win program to a strong field of twenty-six Super Late Models to the historic oval, and Michael started his outing by timing in second overall during qualifications. Chilton went on to finish second in his heat race behind Tanner English, locking him into the fifth starting spot for the feature event. When the race went green, contact from Steve Barnett on the second circuit left Chilton's #97 Revelution Race Cars Super Late Model with left front suspension damage. Chilton continued to battle amongst the top ten before he slid over the top edge of the race track, and ultimately retired to a sixteenth place finish. MICHAEL CHILTON VISITS FLORENCE SPEEDWAY, SCORES THIRD PLACE FINISH

1July 19, 2014 --- Michael Chilton set out to enter the annual Hugh "Junebug" Rowland Memorial over the weekend at Ponderosa Speedway, but after two attempt the event was washed away by rain. Eager to get behind the wheel, Michael and the team traveled north to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) for a Weekly Racing Series program. Twenty-four entries converged on the famed 1/2 mile oval, and a fourth place finish in his heat race positioned Chilton starting eighth in the 30 lap finale. Chilton had worked his way into the top five when a tangle with Justin Rattliff on lap seventeen would relegate both driver's to the tail of the field. In the closing laps Chilton recovered to a third place finish behind race winner, Jesse Lay, and Brad Neat. Dan Schlieper and Mike Meyers rounded out the top five finishers. CHILTON CHARGES TO TOP FIVE IN BUTTERBALL MEMORIAL AT RICHMOND

1July 12, 2014 --- Michael Chilton Motorsports entered a single event over the weekend as they traveled to familiar territory. The 27th Annual Paul "Butterball" Wooldridge Memorial was contest at Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Kentucky), and for the first time in the history of the event a $10,000 winner's check was posted. Twenty-nine Super Late Models registered for the event, and after timing in seventh fastest during qualifications Michael went on to finish fourth in his preliminary heat race. As a result Chilton would start tenth on the feature grid, and during the course of the 50 lapper advanced to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Billy Moyer Jr., Duane Chamberlain, and Ben Adkins. MECHANICAL WOES END CHILTON'S HOPES AT TAZEWELL SPEEDWAY

CHILTON BAGS FIRST VICTORY OF 2014 AT PONDEROSA SPEEDWAY

1June 28, 2014 --- Michael Chilton entered a Weekly Racing Series program at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) on Friday night, and charged to his first victory of the 2014 season.

The evening began with Chilton blazing to fast time honors at the 3/8 mile oval, and later finishing third in his heat race to lock into the third starting spot for the 25 lap finale. In the main event, Michael won the battle for second over Justin Rattliff by lap four and set his sights on race leader, Timmy Yeager. Chilton continued to close in on Yeager and challenge for the lead on lap seven, only to complete the pass one circuit later. Chilton held on for the rest of the 25 lap affair to score the win aboard his #97 Canton Industrial Painting/Chilton Lawn and Maintenance/Revelution Race Car/Bullock Race Engines entry over Justin Rattliff, Timmy Yeager, Jeff Watson, and Tommy Bailey.

An unsanctioned program that posted a $2,000 top prize for competitors was on tap, as a strong field of thirty-one Super Late Models filled the pit area at the famed 1/2 mile oval. A fourth place finish in heat race action positioned Michael starting thirteenth in the 30 lap finale. During the course of the feature, Chilton advanced eight spots en route to a solid fifth place finish behind race winner, Dustin Linville, Kent Robinson, Frank Heckenast Jr., and Justin Rattliff. CHILTON ENTERS SOUTHERN ALL STAR EVENT AT VOLUNTEER

1June 14, 2014 --- After a weekend away from the track, Michael Chilton resumed competition on Saturday evening at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee). The Southern All Star Racing Series sanctioned the 2nd Annual Scott Sexton Memorial, which posted a $5,200 winner's check.

A field of twenty-one Super Late Models converged on the 4/10 mile speed plant. Michael qualified sixth in his group, which left him just short of locking into the main event. As a result he would have to run a b-main, where a third place finish earned him the thirteenth starting spot for the 52 lap finale. When the feature went green, front row starters Brad Neat and Jason Welshan got out of shape while battling for the lead in turn two, which in turn jammed the field up behind them and caused a major multi-car wreck on the backstretch. Unfortunately Chilton got tangled in the melee, bringing his night to a disappointing early end. He was credited with an eighteenth place finish.

CHILTON STRUGGLES IN RALPH LATHAM MEMORIAL AT FLORENCE

1May 31, 2014 --- The ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) tour rolled into Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday night.

A stout field of thirty-six Super Late Models registered for the 28th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial, which boosted a $10,000 top prize for competitors. Heat race action saw Michael falling just one spot short of locking into the finale, forcing him to run a b-main. A third place finish in the b-main locked Chilton into the 22nd starting position on the grid for the 50 lap finale. Michael made some progress early on in the feature before ultimately retiring to a 24th place finish in the final rundown.

CHILTON CONCLUDES SPRING NATIONALS TOUR WITH TOP TEN FINISHES

1May 24, 2014 --- Michael Chilton traveled to the state to Georgia over the weekend for a pair of event that would wrap up the Old Man's Garage (OMG) Spring Nationals tour.

Action began on Friday night at Boyd's Speedway (Riggold, Georgia), as a $4,000 winner's check was posted for competitors. A series record fifty-three Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and with the top eight qualifiers locking into the feature Chilton would come up just short of making the transfer. As a result he would need a heat race win to earn a starting spot in the finale. During the course of the feature, Michael raced to a sixth place finish behind race winner, Dale McDowell, Billy Ogle Jr., Ivedent Lloyd Jr., Donald McIntosh, and Jamie Perry.

Saturday evening found the team pitted at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the final event of the 2014 OMG Spring Nationals tour. Forty-three entries were on hand for the $6,000-to-win program, and Chilton locked into the main event via his qualifying efforts. The 50 lap feature saw Michael battle his way to another sixth place finish in the final rundown behind race winner, Dale McDowell, Bill Ogle Jr., Casey Roberts, Austin Kirkpatrick, and Randy Weaver.

Twenty entries registered for battle in the $3,500-to-win program, and Michael started his outing by rocketing to Fast Time honors during qualifications, picking up a $100 bonus for his efforts. Chilton used a second place finish in heat race action to lock into the main event, but disaster would strike on lap one of the feature. As the field took the green flag Michael was part of a multi-car melee entering turn three that would ultimately bring his night to an early end, and a disappointing fourteenth place finish. Thursday night would kick off the tripleheader weekend at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) with a $4,000-to-win program for competitors. Thirty-two entries registered for the event, and Chilton timed in second in Group A during qualifications, locking him into the fourth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. He went on to battle amongst the top five throughout the race before ultimately crossing the finish line in fifth behind race winner, Dale McDowell, Billy Ogle Jr., Jared Landers, and Clint Smith.

CHILTON RETURNS TO ACTION WITH A PAIR OF EVENTS IN KENTUCKY

May 3, 2014 --- After having a weekend off Michael Chilton returned to the seat of his #97 Chiltons Lawn & Maintenance/Revelution Race Cars Super Late Model for a pair of events in the state of Kentucky.

The weekend began at Lucky 7 Speedway (Colson, Kentucky) for a $3,000-to-win event at the Eastern Kentucky oval. Mechanical issues during qualifying put Chilton starting on the tail of his heat race where he went on to finish third, locking into the third starting spot for the finale. In the main event Michael battled at the front of the back throughout the race before settling in second at the checkered flag behind race winner, Mark Sturgill.

On Saturday evening action shifted to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) for the 17th Annual Pete Abell Memorial. Fourteen entries signed in for the $2,500-to-win program, and Michael started his night by driving to the win in his heat race to earn the outside pole position for the 35 lap finale. Chilton once again found himself battling at the front of the pack early on before mechanical issues forced him to retire to a thirteenth place finish. CHILTON ENTERS KENTUCKY TRIPLE CROWN WITH SPRING NATIONALS TOUR

1April 19, 2014 --- Michael Chilton entered a busy weekend with Ray Cook's Old Man's Garage (OMG) Spring Nationals presented by Schaeffer's Oil tour.

Action kicked off on Thursday night with a $4,000-to-win event at 201 Speedway (Sitka, Kentucky) as thirty-two Super Late Models registered for battle. With the top eight qualifiers locking into the feature Chilton fail short of the mark, and had to run a b-main, where he finished fourth to lock into the eighteenth starting for the 40 lap finale. Despite passing being difficult Michael charged through the field, advancing ten spots to an eighth place finish.

Friday night saw action shift to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) for another $4,000-to-win program. A stout field of twenty-seven entries were on hand for the event, and Michael started his night by posting the seventh quickest lap over all during qualifying to lock in the seventh starting spot for the main event. In the 40 lap feature, Chilton battled amongst the top ten for much of the event before registering an eighth place finish at the checkered flag.

As the weekend drew to a close, Saturday night found the team traveling to the famed Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) for the 38th Annual Spring 50. The Spring Nationals tour would sanction the $5,000-to-win program as a talented field of thirty-seven competitors were registered. In preliminary action, Michael finished third in his heat race which locked him into the sixteenth starting position for the 50 lap feature. Unfortunately, in the main event Chilton's night would come to a disappointing end after contact with the outside wall brought him to a stop on the front stretch. As a result, his was credited with a nineteenth place finish in the final rundown.

Thirty-two entries were on hand for the $4,000-to-win program, and Chilton fail just short of locking into the main event via his qualifying efforts, but a second place run in the heat race earned him the thirteenth starting spot for the finale. Despite starting mid-pack in the 40 lap feature, Michael motored his way toward the front to cross the finish line in fifth behind race winner Mike Marlar, Shane Clanton, Dale McDowell, and Casey Roberts. Twenty Super Late Models registered for the $10,000-to-win program, and with the feature lineup being set directly from time trials Chilton locked in the fifth starting position for the main event. Michael battled the top five for much of the event, and despite several charges for the second and third positions, passing would be difficult at the high-banked oval and Chilton would settle to a fourth place finish behind race winner Jimmy Owens, Vic Hill, and Casey Roberts. CHILTON RETURNS TO SPRING NATIONALS ACTION AT SMOKY MOUNTAIN

1April 5, 2014 --- Michael Chilton Motorsports set out to enter a pair of events on the Ray Cook promoted Spring Nationals tour over the weekend, but Mother Nature would once again play a factor as Friday night's program at Tri-County Race Track was postponed.

The team now traveled to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for a $6,000-to-win event with the tour. A talented field of thirty-one Super Late Models were registered for battle, and struggles in qualifying left Chilton starting fourth in the second heat. Michael advanced to a second place finish in the heat to lock into the thirteenth starting position for the 50 lap feature. During the course of the feature, the Wild Child advanced to a tenth place finish at the checkered flag.

March 22, 2014 --- Michael Chilton traveled to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night for the 17th Annual Indiana Icebreaker, which posted a $10,000 check for the winner of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event.

A talented field for forty-five Super Late Models converged on the 1/4 mile oval. Chilton started fifth in his heat race via his qualifying efforts, and with the top four finishers moving on to the main event he missed the transfer by one spot with a fifth place finish, forcing him to run a b-main. In the b-main, Michael crossed the finish line in second to lock into the 20th starting spot for the 50 lap feature. In the feature, engine woes would once again plague the #97 team as Michael's night came to an early end at lap twenty, resulting in disappointing 27th place finish.

On Friday night a $4,000-to-win event was held as a talented field of thirty-four Super Late Models registered for battle. With the top eight qualifiers locking into the feature Chilton secured the eighth starting spot on the grid via his qualifying efforts. With passing being difficult in the 40 lap main event, Michael recorded a solid ninth place finish at the checkered flag.

Chilton failed to make the transfer into the main event via heat race action, but locked into the 19th starting spot with a second place finish in the b-main. In the 60 lap finale, Chilton had advanced to 14th when his night was brought to an early end following motor issues with just ten laps remaining.
